ACADA Announces Winners of the 1st Annual ACADA Industry Excellence Recognition Awards (AIERA)

Halifax, NS, Canada, March 10, 2015 – ACADA Announces Winners of the 1st Annual ACADA Industry Excellence Recognition Awards (AIERA)

September 8th, 2017 – Halifax, N.S. – Charles Richer, Chair, Atlantic Canada Aerospace and Defence Association presented awards to SOLACE POWER INC. (NL), BLUEDROP TRAINING & SIMULATION (NL, NS & NB) and SAYLE SAFETY INC. (NS) at the inaugural ACADA Gala Dinner held September 6th, 2017 at the World Trade and Convention Centre.


These Atlantic Canadian Small to Medium enterprise (SMEs) recipients were celebrated for their success and excellence in the aerospace, defence and security industries in three distinct categories – Innovation Leader - Solace Power, Business Development Distinction – Bluedrop Training and Simulation and Most-Promising Start-up or Business Diversification – Sayle Safety Inc.

“The ACADA Team, our members and partners extends warm congratulations and its appreciation to the 2017 ACADA Industry Excellence Recognition Award recipients. The diversity and capacity of the industry capabilities within the region is reflected by these outstanding companies;

• Solace Power’s patented technology - Resonant Capacitive Coupling, a revolutionary lightweight charging system enabling equipment charges when adjacent to, or near the charger or transmitting power source;

• Bluedrop as Canada’s largest courseware provider who is actively building a training ecosystem for domestic and international markets, including a recent contract award for $5.5 million dollars to deliver a Bell 206 Level 7 Flight Training Device as a result of their long-standing relationships with KF Aerospace and the RCAF; and

• SayleSafety’s reinvention of safety culture and training with programs and initiatives such as Safety Culture 100, custom online modules, smartphone applications, and VR safety initiative with their First Nations business partner, Virtual Nation.
