Halifax, NS, Canada, Jan 23rd, 2019 – Bluedrop Performance Learning Inc. (“Bluedrop”) (TSX-V: BPL) through its subsidiary Bluedrop Training & Simulation Inc has received a $1M contract through the Build in Canada Innovation Program to deliver an innovative new approach to vehicle-based gunnery mission training for land forces.
The vehicle gunnery simulator is an immersive virtual training device to teach, practice, and evaluate remote weapon system crew gunnery skills and communication. The simulator will address target engagement, dangerous malfunctions, firing solutions and techniques as well as vehicle orientation limits (rollover) that may affect gunnery operations in a mission relevant setting. The blend of physical and virtual simulation will heighten mission realism and push the limits of vehicle crew gunnery training available at the operational units. This simulator will be developed in partnership with 5 Canadian Division to help develop new technology.
“Bluedrop is excited to be able to extend our expertise in training and simulation to support innovation within the Canadian Army. We are pleased that this simulator is going to increase access to higher fidelity training at home here in Atlantic Canada” said Jean-Claude Siew, Vice President of Technology & Simulation.

About the Build in Canada Innovation Program
This innovation procurement program helps Canadian innovators get their product to market faster, and helps them succeed in the marketplace, by buying and testing innovations in real-operational settings.
Through the program, innovators can sell their per-commercial products or services for testing, but keep the intellectual property and retain all equity in their company. The program pays up to $500,000 for non-military innovations, and up to $1,000,000 for military innovations.
