Ascent Flight Training is embarking on a major transformation programme which will support the delivery of courseware and student learning to the UK Military Flying Training System (UKMFTS). The current Learning Content Management System (LMCS) is facing obsolescence in December 2021, and a contract has been signed with Bluedrop Training & Simulation Inc. to replace this with their Learninglogics® suite (LMCS and LMS).
Bluedrop’s three decades of experience and defence focused tools will also deliver the automated conversion of existing content, allowing the UKMFTS teams to continue to work together collaboratively to develop, innovate, publish and manage courseware content within a single platform.
Learninglogics® will support the wide range of ground based training equipment used across the UKMFTS programme from desktop trainers through to full flight simulators, through a web based platform enabling the use of diverse rich media formats and training methods. It will host courseware and technical documentation for both instructor led and self-learning helping students to learn more effectively and efficiently in a digital world.
The migration to the new suite is a 2 year programme reaching full operational capability in early 2023, and forms part of Ascent’s ICT Change programme.
Learninglogics® will also be developed as part of Ascent’s own staff training.
